About Event

Geoconfluence is an initiative of Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), ISM Student Chapter, in association with European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), ISM Student Chapter along with the students of Department of Applied Geophysics.

The word ‘confluence’ literally means the meeting of two rivers, Geoconfluence is that congregation of the greatest minds from the geo-scientific community who dare to let their imaginations run wild and help improve the quality of life. Geoconfluence is ISM Dhanbad’s annual Geo-Technical fest which endeavours to bring young minds from across the country and test their skills in the presence of eminent Geoscientists who are ever ready to share their pearls of wisdom.

Its first edition was held in March 2013 with the motto of integrating academia and geo-technology to gear up young minds to meet future industrial challenges and provide them a platform to present their research. It is a memorable experience to be in this excellent amalgamation of youth versus experience and is always a delight to find out who will capture your imagination.
